Ghirardelli Greetings

A towering delivery of tasty chocolate treats help make anyone’s day sweeter. Chocolaholics will welcome flavors of white, milk and dark chocolates enrobed in dried fruits, crunchy nuts and salty pretzels. For an even more decadent treat, only the finest chocolates serve as the main ingredient in some gift baskets’ rich chocolate truffles.

First dates, romantic anniversaries, couples’ weekends and other love-inspired events are more memorable with a gift to tempt the senses. Appealing on the eyes and the palette, A Love Affair with Chocolate Tower contains three heart-shaped treat boxes bursting with milk chocolate covered nuts, white chocolate frosted pretzels, jumbo chocolate dipped pretzels, and as a finale, assorted Ghirardelli chocolate squares. These chocolate snack gift baskets are different in color, design and taste than typical gift baskets. While meat and cheese gift baskets make hearty snack gifts, chocolate gift presentations are more subtle and exude romance.

Pink Rose Bouquet

What better way to see a loved one smile then to present a huge bouquet of chocolate flowers? Serving as an accompaniment to chocolate snack gift baskets or as a unique presentation item on their own, a chocolate Pink Rose Bouquet ensures each rose is the same color, perfect size and in this case, has the same taste. Lovingly handcrafted, bouquets contain a dozen hand-wrapped chocolate candies. Finishing touches like vivid greeneries, white silk flowers and a fluffed pink bow create the illusion of a real floral bouquet. In fact, this arrangement is so enthralling that she may be reluctant to open each blossom, although the chocolate temptation will be a great motivator!

When ordering a chocolate bouquet, send it wherever the recipient spends most time of his or her day. Since chocolate is a perishable item, delivering rose bouquets or chocolate snack gift baskets to a recipient’s work is a perfectly acceptable practice and a great way to make a good impression.

The Best to you and yours! Safe tips for the Holidays.

During the season we have to prepare for fo so much – gifts, decorations, travel plans, holiday meals, parties, the list goes on and on – and with all the excitement and hurry, there can sometimes be problems.  You can never be too careful, especially when out shopping in the crowded stores.  Here are some tips that will help you ensure that this season is bothy happy and safe:

•    Shop in groups.  Shopping in a large group is always a good idea; it’s safer for you and your friends.  There are, unfortunately, people out there  who take advantage of all the confusion during this time of year, and use the opportunity to steal.  Thieves would hesitate stealing from people who shop in groups.

•    Keep your valuables safe.  When shopping, be sure to keep all of your valuables close to your person.  Make certain that you always have a secure hold on your bags or purse. Never leave them on counters or shelves unattended.  When you have children with you, instead of letting your purse fall at your side or behind you, keep your purse in front of you.

•    Make sure that your car doors are locked.  Before leaving your car, take a moment to double check everything and make sure that you really locked the door.  Do not leave anything valuable in plain sight.  A lot of robberies happen during this season, and with all the fuss it’s easy to be careless and leave a tempting opportunity available.

•    Bring a big bag when shopping.  People usually shop from one stall and move on to the next.  Sometimes this results in accumulating a lot of packages.  We do have to remember that, after all, we only have two hands.  Sometimes if we are carrying a lot, it’s possible that in a moment of haste a bag might be left behind.  To avoid this, try to have a larger bag with you, and put all your small items inside of it, so that you will never leave anything behind.

•    Shop online.  This is an especially convenient option for those who do not have enough time to shop.  Shopping online can be done at any time of the day, whenever you have time in your busy schedule.  When shopping at a store, it’s easy to forget a few items, and then you have to spend extra time going back to the shop.  Doing your holiday shopping online can save you a lot of time and keep you stress free during this hectic time of year.  There are numerous websites that cater specifically to holiday shoppers, many of which have all sorts of different items available, everything from coffee and tea gift baskets,  wines, chocolates, meat and cheese gift baskets, and many more which can suit anybody. Need a Holiday Gift Basket IdeaGourmet Christmas gift basket, Corporate Holiday gift basket, Take a look at our online gift baskets,Thank You.

Winter and the Holidays

Friday, October 23rd, 2009

It seems that weather can affect our mood and outlook on life.  Just think about how you wake up on a drab, gloomy, rainy day – probably a little down in the mouth, right?  Compare that feeling to when you wake up on a bright, crisp, sunny day – happy and ready to take on the world!  The subtle effect of the weather on your mood is apparent – a little cranky when it’s too hot, listless when it’s too cold, and the connections go on and on.

Well, the same can be said for the seasonal change around the holiday season as well.  When the weather changes from summer to fall, you probably start feeling more in the holiday mood.  Of course, there are other changes that also indicate that the holidays are coming soon.  The beginning of school days combined with the cooling of the weather is a great indication that autumn is upon us.  When autumn rolls around, you know that Halloween, followed by Thanksgiving, then Christmas is sure to follow.

The changing of seasons gets us thinking about the upcoming holidays, so it makes sense that the weather changes we experience affect our mood and help get us into the festive holiday spirit.  Once the days start getting shorter and the air is crisp, you know that the holidays are coming.  Lighting the fireplace and enjoying some hot cocoa or warm apple cider is reminiscent of your childhood and the excitement and electricity of the holiday season.  These cold days bring about a warm feel

It is also time to think of gifting, stretched for time online gift baskets are a short cut with out cutting out the thought itself. Looking for a holiday gift basket idea? Corporate holiday gift basket? Gourmet Christmas gift basket? We have unique holiday gift baskets, please take a look.

Planning Ahead for the Holidays

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

When we think of Christmas we think of getting together with our friends and family, of parties and presents and being with the people we love.  But we also think of the hectic rush to the airport, of packing and driving and traffic, sometimes too late.  So, with the holiday season just around the corner, now is the time to start planning ahead.

If you’re like the majority of Americans, you’re going to be traveling this holiday season, visiting parents, cousins, and grandparents whether it’s in the next city, or two states away.  The first thing to consider, therefore, is transportation.  Will you be driving or flying or going by train?  Will you be taking small children, or pets, or an elderly relative?  These are things you must think about when planning for the holiday trip.

If you’re going to be flying this holiday, check with a variety of travel agents until you find a price and a flight that works for you.  There are often discounts for group travel, but with Christmas so close you won’t be the only one looking for a good deal.  Start looking now, keeping in mind layovers, the problems and delays weather may bring, and check on regulations for luggage and carryons to help you when it’s time to pack.

If you’re traveling by car, the first thing to consider is not just the gas, but the route.  Are there side roads you can use if holiday traffic becomes too crowded?  Are there places to stop and get lunch, or stretch your legs?  Careful planning applies to more than just the drive, though.  Remember to bring along snacks and drinks, and toys or some form of entertainment if you’re traveling with small children.

Or maybe this Christmas your relatives are coming to visit you.  Are they staying the night?  The week?  Until New Years?  You’ll need to figure out where people are going to sleep, where people are going to sit during dinner, and how to keep your guests entertained.  Better to think about it now than the day before they arrive.

If they’re not going to be staying at your home, then consider arranging a hotel room.  By reserving rooms now, you will spare yourself any worry or indecision, and might even manage a reasonable price by sneaking in before the holiday rush.  You might even consider reserving a favorite restaurant for a family dinner.  But, again, with the holiday season so close you’ll need to reserve your place early.

What ever the situation HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY HOLIDAY

Do you want to be scared? Halloween is the time, even if you don't believe.

Sunday, October 18th, 2009

If you travel to this Massachusetts town during October you can tour the Salem Witch House and the rather infamous Salem Witch Museum. The month of October is also the time when the city celebrates “Haunted Happenings”. Dress up in your favorite costume or bring your pointed hat, black cat and broom and you can join in the festivities. There are parades, fortune tellers, and you will always hear people talking about some of the ghosts who still return to haunt the city where they once lived. Now how spooky is that?

Of course it has been more than 3 centuries since the famous witch trials were taking place in Salem, Massachusetts but is there more to these spooky tales than we have been told. Halloween is the time when this town opens its doors and welcomes witches, ghosts and goblins. If you believe the local gossip there are still a number of sites where restless spirits wander about the city of Salem.

According to local legend one young girl named Charity Smythe returns to Salem on the 31st of October every year. Charity was only 14 years old when she was burned at the stake on land belonging to her family. Some older women had accused her of being a witch. Today there is an apple orchard that covers the site where Charity died. It has been said that her father and mother planted the orchard in honor of their daughter, who dearly loved apples.

For years people have said that the ghost of young Charity Smythe comes to this orchard between 9-11 pm each Halloween. There are many who say they have seen this ghostly apparition as she vainly attempts to pluck apples from the trees.
It seems as though Miss Smythe longs once again to taste the crisp delicious apples she once enjoyed. But, alas, as a ghost she will forever be denied this pleasure. You do not need to be denied unique holiday gift baskets at your-giftbaskets.com . Hope you have scarey and safe all Hallow’s eve.
